But what’s even better about this recipe is not just the ease of making it.

It’s super nutritious because it contains fresh and healthy ingredients that your body will absolutely love.

For instance, watermelon is already nutritious as it is because it is packed with minerals, electrolytes and water to keep you hydrated and nourished.

But we are also adding in some yogurt to this recipe, which we all know is loaded with probiotics to keep your gut healthy and thriving.

Another ingredient to this recipe are Chia seeds, which not only resembles the seeds of the watermelon (just a little smaller, I know) but it is also full of great nutrients such as essential fatty acids, protein, fiber, and numerous vitamins and minerals.

Other things I would like to add to this watermelon ice cream are some chopped nuts and coconuts, which are full of
healing fats that are good for your heart, nerves and brain.

  • 4-6 cups watermelon
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • Dark chia seeds
  • Dessicated coconut
  • Chopped nuts walnuts or pistachios


  • Put your watermelon into the blender jar and add in the yogurt.
  • Mix thoroughly until smooth in texture.
  • Add the coconut and chopped nuts and mix a second time.
  • Pour the mixture into a bowl and freeze for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Take it out of the freezer and blend it up again to get a lot of air bubbles at the top.
  • Freeze the mixture the second time.
  • When ready to serve, sprinkle some Chia seeds on top. Enjoy!
