Instructions
- Preheat oven: 350°F (180°C).
- Combine boiling water, raisins and baking soda. Let stand until cool.
- Cream butter, sucanat, molasses, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Drain water from raisin mixture, reserving liquid. Add water to flour mixture.
- Gently stir in raisins and nuts.
- Bake in 2 greased loaf pans for 1 hour.
