If you want to make it even healthier, you can combine it with other ingredients that will not only add to its nutritive value but also enhance the taste.

A healthy fruit snack combined with some nuts, coconut flakes, and fresh fruit juice sounds about right!What’s more, it’s so convenient and very substantial to eat.

Dried fruits are rich in fiber, antioxidants, vitamin C, and other nutrients. As for nuts, they’re high in protein, fiber, and minerals. That’s a nutritious combo right there!

Just prepare it ahead of time, save it in the fridge, and then grab a few bites whenever the craving for something sweet and filling strikes.

Nothing complex or tough about this healthy fruit snack. It’s just a matter of combining all the ingredients such as your dried fruits, fresh fruit juice, nuts… And that’s it!

Add in some coconut flakes, and you’re good to go. You’ll need special equipment for it, though. With a food processor or a high powered blender like the Bosch blender I use, you can prepare this dish in minutes.

Have the mixture shaped into balls, put them in the fridge or freezer, then in a few hours, your dried fruit and nuts bites should be ready for munching! This treat goes well with freshly-pressed fruit juice or a glass of almond or rice milk.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Apricots
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Prunes
  • 1 cup Dates
  • 1 cup Lemon zest
  • 1 cup Walnuts
  • 1 cup Coconut flakes
  • 1 cup Freshly pressed orange juice

Instructions
 

  • Mix everything up in a food processor.
  • Once chunky, form the mixture into balls. Roll on chopped nuts or coconut flakes.
  • Refrigerate the tray or put in the freezer to allow the balls to firm up.
  • When ready to serve, just grab some of these fruit and nut bites from the fridge and enjoy!
